Computer Support Technician Program
The Campus Linc Computer Support Technician Program consists of three distinct modules, all geared towards preparing you for the ever-increasing responsibilities of today's IT Staff.
Module 1 - CompTIA A+® Certification Preparation: Hardware and Software Understanding. CompTIA A+ Certification validates the latest skills needed by today's computer support professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors, and resellers. CompTIA A+ confirms a technician's ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosis, preventive maintenance, and basic networking. The exams also cover domains such as security, safety and environmental issues, communication, and professionalism.
Module 2 - CompTIA Network+® Certification Preparation: Understanding Networking. CompTIA Network+ validates the knowledge and skills of networking professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification that recognizes a technician's ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure, and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols, and services. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that CompTIA Network+ candidates have at least nine months of experience in network support or administration, or adequate academic training, along with a CompTIA A+ certification.
Module 3 - MCP Certification Preparation: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment. This course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to manage accounts and resources, maintain server resources, monitor server performance, and safeguard data in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment.
